Cityshape… Aptly named as ‘The Shape of the City’ founded by Paul Marshall
Cityshape Heritage Limited is a primarily residential property development company that specialises in high quality, innovative schemes. The Company, together with its sister property investment company Follis Investments Limited are wholly owned subsidiaries of Maxfield & Sons Limited which was established in 1893.
Following a merger in 2014, Directors Paul Marshall and Moyra Marshall have a majority shareholding through their shareholding in Cityshape Investments Limited, the holding company. The Follis and Maxfield family still maintain a very significant shareholding in Maxfield and Sons Limited and are proud of their long association with this old established company.

Historically, the Cityshape companies have focussed on developments in London, however, in the last few years have moved eastwards and have undertaken schemes in Magdalen Laver, Great Sampford and Great Dunmow. We pride ourselves on ensuring each scheme fits impeccably into its setting, respects its heritage and forms part of the community. an.

Cityshape's reputation for originality and vision has been rewarded with National award-winning recognition for one of the company’s luxury projects, Linear House in Highgate Village. This prestigious development won the Downland Prize for Sustainability in 2008. Cityshape Investments Ltd were finalists for the BEST INDIVIDUAL NEW HOME in the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2021 for Little Wyld, Bathford.
The Cityshape Group have a new addition in the form of Bird Building Company Ltd who have taken on the construction of the group's schemes, as well as working independently as a construction company.
